3 reasons why not to eat raw eggs?

With over a dozen different vitamins, minerals and other nutrients, eggs are among the most nutritious foods you can consume. You can obtain all of these nutritional benefits by eating your eggs as a food. But if you are consuming raw eggs then you should immediately stop it because this had many healthy disadvantages you should be looking into.

Egg is called a superfood as its amino profile is complete and you get all 11 essential amino acids. Not only we get protein and healthy fat but also they are good source of various micronutrients. Just one raw egg contains three grams of protein; vitamins A, B2, B5, B12 and E; choline, a mineral that’s essential for brain function; lutein and zeaxanthin, antioxidants that keep our eyes healthy; and so much more.

WHY YOU SHOULD NOT EAT RAW EGGS?

1)By coming to the absorption of nutrients or protein(incase of egg) raw egg is a loser and boil or cooked egg is a clear winner. As we see the nutrient consumption in terms of its bioavailability.Raw eggs bioavailability is 50% that means if you are consuming 1 whole egg then you will only get 3 gms of protein but in case of boil eggs you will get 6 gms of protein i.e. it's bioavailability is 100%.

2)The white part of the raw egg can also be contaminated with salmonella. Salmonella is a bacterium found in the intestines of chickens. If you get in contact with that bacteria it's symptoms can be drastic.

In India only 1 out of 20000 eggs are contaminated with salmonella. But we can't take risk we can get one of them so instead we should boil or cook the eggs.

3)Consuming raw eggs may also affect your ability to absorb biotin. Biotin is a water-soluble B-vitamin, which is involved in the production of glucose and fatty acids in the body
